CARDBOARD TV · YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the current Cardboard TV website, early-access waitlist, and interactive previews. The TV stick, connected parent app, and streaming integrations are still in development. This policy does not describe them as live services. Cardboard TV’s team operates this website; privacy questions can be sent to hello@cardboardtv.com.

What we collect today

The current previews keep your show selections and simulated lock settings in the page’s temporary memory. The application does not send those choices to our waitlist database or save them as a child’s viewing history. Refreshing the page resets them. We do not collect streaming credentials, payment details, child profiles, or actual viewing activity through these previews.

How we use information

We use waitlist information to manage early access and send the product updates you requested. We use correspondence to answer questions and process requests. Technical information supports website delivery, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention.

Service providers and sharing

The site runs on OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and waitlist storage. These providers process information needed to operate and secure the service. Email services process messages sent to or from our contact address. Klaviyo processes your email address, subscription consent, and email interactions to manage our waitlist and deliver product updates. We retain a backup signup record on the website. Our emails may measure opens and link clicks to help us understand engagement. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live.

We do not sell waitlist information or use it for targeted advertising. Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Cookies and outside links

The Cardboard TV application does not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies. A necessary, secure household cookie lets the browser that created a household prepare invitations for 30 days. The hosting platform may use cookies or similar technologies for access, authentication, or security. Browser settings can control cookies, although disabling necessary cookies may affect access. Following a streaming-service or artwork-credit link takes you to another provider whose own privacy policy applies.

Children’s privacy

This website introduces a family product to adults; the waitlist is for people 18 and older. The current site does not offer child accounts or ask children to provide personal information. Please do not send children’s names, birthdays, recordings, or other personal details.

If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, email us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Before introducing features that collect children’s information, we will explain those practices and implement the notices, parental consent, and parent controls required for those features. Joining this adult waitlist is not consent to collect a child’s information.

Retention and security

Waitlist information is retained while needed to provide requested early-access updates, unless you ask us to remove it. Correspondence and technical records are retained as needed for support, security, or legal obligations. We use the access controls provided by our hosting and storage services, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and requests

Use the unsubscribe link in our emails or email hello@cardboardtv.com to stop product updates, leave the waitlist, or request access, correction, or deletion of your information. Send the request from the address you used, where possible; we may need to verify it before acting. We will honor applicable privacy rights. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons, and backup copies may persist until their normal deletion cycle.

Updates to this policy

We will update this policy as our practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated by email when appropriate. New product features will receive relevant privacy disclosures before their information collection begins.
